About Us

Greetings from the President

I want to thank the members of the IESNYC for their support of our new executive team. I also want to congratulate President Brian Belluomini for his excellent leadership during his tenure.

This year our section will focus on testing the limits of technology — make our board meetings and programs as interactive as possible and accessible to our community. If we can’t accomplish everything today — then maybe it will be possible tomorrow. There are no failures when we experiment in finding the “cutting edge.”

I’m asking you, our lighting community, to help us “think outside of the box” and suggest programs — even ”guerrilla” events, that will excite, teach, or just be fun! The New York City Metro area has the “best and brightest” — we are fortunate to have three fantastic lighting organizations in the DLF, the IALD, and the IES. We all share the same goal — to educate and learn.

So, join us and let’s see what we can create together!

Caleb Mckenzie, US Lighting Consultants
2017-2018 IESNYC Section President
