Submissions for consideration for the 2026 IES Street and Area Lighting Conference in Phoenix, AZ, November 8-11, are being accepted through February 3, 2026. Submission portal will close at 11:59pm US Eastern.
The IES Street and Area Lighting Conference appeals to a broad spectrum of attendees, primarily focusing on improving outdoor lighting. The conference program provides outdoor lighting training classes, seminars, networking sessions, and an exhibit hall. Attendees come from across North America and internationally, representing utilities, municipalities, DOTs, consulting and engineering firms, research firms, manufacturing firms, and educational institutions. The IES Street and Area Lighting Conference is the only forum specific to the interests and challenges facing outdoor lighting professionals.
The SALC Program Committee will consider all topics for the 2026 conference. We also highly encourage submissions that address the following topics:
- Case studies
- Project funding and finance
- Lighting design best practices
- Light and health for roadway and area lighting systems
- Current and upcoming research
- Technology and integration
- Environmental considerations
Seminar sessions generally run 25-35 minutes. Street and Area Lighting Conference is educational, and presentations must follow IES's non-commercial policy.
