Illuminating the Stage: A Look Back at IESNYC's Inaugural Drag Trivia Night
One of the standout events of the season, IESNYC’s first-ever Drag Lighting Trivia Night brought the local lighting community together for an evening that was equal parts competitive and celebratory.
Hosted in collaboration with Equity in Lighting and NYCLIQ, the event welcomed professionals, students, and allies from across the industry to connect in a welcoming, lively setting.

Held at the ETC Showroom in Hell’s Kitchen, the night featured comically difficult lighting trivia emceed by local NYC drag artist Corma Kelley, alongside great performances between rounds. The trivia team names were clever and silly, the questions were genuinely challenging, and the performers kept the crowd engaged with runway walks and impromptu dancing.
A sincere thank you to ETC for generously hosting the space and providing drinks, and to TMB for providing the snacks.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out to support, compete, and connect. The great vibe and enthusiasm from the crowd made the night a fantastic success, and we are already excited for the next one.
