The IESNYC continues to lead by example, offering financial and professional support to shape the next generation of lighting professionals at the upcoming IES Annual Conference, August 21–23 in Anaheim, CA. From conference scholarships to hands-on mentorship, our impact is unmistakable.
IESNYC Board Member Megan Carroll (left) – a longtime champion of the IES Emerging Professionals (EP) Committee – has played a key role in organizing this year’s EP Day on Thursday, August 21. Her dedication to the IES spans years: past Conference Chair, past Illumination Awards Chair, and an ongoing IA Committee member. You’ll spot her at the Gala, proudly cheering on NYC winners!
EP Day kicks off with a dynamic, invite-only networking event where early-career professionals (with less than 5 years in the industry) rotate through 10-minute conversations with designers, educators, reps, and manufacturers to explore the many career paths in lighting. IESNYC President Shoshanna Segal (left) will join the lineup as a controls expert, part of our Section’s broader commitment to career development and collaboration across disciplines.
IESNYC proudly subsidizes conference attendance for EPs, helping eliminate financial barriers and ensuring diverse voices are heard.
