IES Webinar: Lighting Events for Live Streams and Live Audiences
Most branding and marketing events have conflicting requirements for the lighting: to establish the appropriate environment in the room for the attendees and to create effective content for a PR and marketing team to use in the future. With everyone having a camera on their phone, it is important for the lighting to create viral moments for social media, but it is equally vital for the in-person experience to feel special.
- Free registration for members / $29 for Non-Members
- Registration for this event ends on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM (ET)

Presenters
Joe Saint
President, IMCD Lighting
Joe founded IMCD Lighting in 2006 after having spent many years in NYC working in fashion, theater and opera. His theater work includes work at multiple regional and off-Broadway theaters and as an assistant LD on six Broadway shows. He received his MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Virginia in 1992, and his MBA in Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University in 2006.
IMCD was founded in 2006 with an emphasis on quality. Our name references the four intrinsic qualities of light: Intensity, Movement, Color, and Distribution.
We quickly became an industry leader in Fashion Runway Lighting, and over the 20 years since we started, our client base has expanded beyond fashion. We have lit events and installations for many companies including Adidas, the American Kennel Club, Chanel, Genesis, Google, Hermes, Nike, Peloton, Target and many others. IMCD often will provide the entire package – design, equipment, labor, rigging and more – and at other times, just selected elements.
David Roy
Head of Design, IMCD Lighting
David joined IMCD as a Designer in 2010 and took over as Head of Design in 2013 before becoming a partner in 2017. In addition to lighting design, he managed his own production company and spent numerous years working on concerts, installations, and industrials.
He has a BA in music and a BFA in technical theater from the University of Rhode Island.
