NYS Solid State Lighting Manufacturing & Control Conference agenda 3-8-2013.pdf
The conference will feature a keynote presentation, case studies, panel discussion, and lighting demonstrations and will focus on the benefits of using efficient lighting and smart lighting controls, and on the growth of New York State SSL manufacturing. The event will be an ideal opportunity for networking and business development.
The Keynote presentation will be given by Dr. Nadarajah Narendran, the Director of Research at the Lighting Research Center (LRC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, where he leads a team that conducts research and educational programs to accelerate the development and market transformation of solid-state lighting technology. He is also a Professor in the School of Architecture at RPI and is the program organizer for the Alliance for Solid-State Illumination Systems and Technologies (ASSIST) since 2002. Dr. Narendran will discuss his recent paper, “Updating a Legacy: Trading Up Edison’s Light Bulb and Electrical Infrastructure” along with an informative presentation on the Lighting Research Center. Please join us as this is an event to not be missed.
The conference will be held in Newburgh, NY, historically the second city to become electrified, and therefore, a perfect location to discuss the future of lighting industry and of SSL innovations. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration is free.
